Dr. Preethanuj Preethalayam is a native of Karivellur (Kerala), India.

In 2006, he graduated from Government College Kasaragod, Kannur University, majoring in chemistry, and from the same university received his masters degree in 2008.

He obtained his PhD in synthetic organic chemistry at the University of Kerala under the supervision of Dr K. V. Radhakrishnan (National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology, Thiruvanathapuram).


Area of interests are Synthetic organic chemistry, organometallic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, catalysis. He is also a fellow of Indian Chemical Society (ICS).

Presently he is working as assistant professor on contract at Payyanur College, Payyanur, Kerala.
