Productivity”.



Dr. Nissi Ikenna-Amadi (Nee KALIO) has authored academic, folk tale and religious articles; She is a sought-after speaker in conferences tailored towards young talents and the women folk in Africa. She has appeared on Nigerian Television Channels and Radio Stations where she led discussions bordering on parenting, family values, the African woman and the girl child;

She is referred to as the “girl Child advocate”.

Her career spans training, research and development. She has sat in and served on various panels for recruitment exercises and budgetary sessions.

She is the Host of the talk show, “Diary of the Preacher’s wife series”

She is the founder and Executive Director of African Women Mentoring and Inspiring

Initiative (AWMII) and Co-Founder of the Iona and Johnson Company (a training and a consulting organization). She has served as a management staff for over 15 years in an ICT based organisation in Nigeria;

She is also currently the Assistant Head of the Business Development Division.

She is an alumnus of the Rivers State University (formally known as Rivers State University of Science and Technology) and University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, where she obtained her first, second, third and fourth degrees in Management and Human Resources Management respectively. Nissi is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, Nigeria (CIPMN), Member of the Human Resources Network

Africa (HRNA), Member of the Academy of Management, Nigeria (TAMN),

Member, British Academy of Management (BAM), UK and Associate Member of WIMBIZ (Women in Management and Business), Nigeria, Board Member, Iona and Johnson Company, Board Member, DiWomen Resources and now a Volunteer Member of Junior Achievement, Nigeria (JAN).

Her first published poem as a teenage girl was published in a short-lived print called Rosary Newspaper in 1995. Her first international article publication with her mentor Prof I. Zeb-Obipi was recognised and awarded best paper in 2018 by the International Journal of Human Resources Management and Research, TJPRC publishers. She is currently working on two books she believes will change the narrative in managing employees at the workplace and amplify the importance of the girl-child in the society.

She is happily married to Ikenna Amadi; a Leadership and Mentorship Coach and they are blessed with Othniel, Jemima and Arielle.
