In today’s world where organized criminal groups have become agile and adaptive [we have seen this especially during COVID-19 pandemic], the response to organized crime must be strategic, inclusive and collaborative, addressing societal issues that are conducive to it.
Through the SE4U project, UNODC since 2019 is facilitating the engagement of non-governmental stakeholders in UNTOC review process through capacity building, Pilot Initiatives, regional networks, Constructive Dialogues, online knowledge platform, and educational materials. A number of governments have been carrying out national stakeholder engagement consultations and dialogues on the review.
This side event on "Partnership for UNTOC implementation - two-year assessment of Stakeholder Engagement in the review Process" will showcase the main milestones of UNODC work in engaging governments and non-governmental stakeholders in UNTOC review process, including national dialogues on the same.
We look forward to your participation.
