Third intersessional consultation of the Ad Hoc Committee

In accordance with General Assembly resolution 75/282 as well as the road map and mode of work for the Ad Hoc Committee, approved by the Committee at its first session, the Institute was

invited to participate in the third intersessional consultation with multi-stakeholders of the Ad Hoc Committee to Elaborate a Comprehensive International Convention on Countering the Use of Information and Communications Technologies for Criminal Purposes,

to be held on 3 and 4 November 2022 in Vienna, Austria.

Doctor/PhD members and Professional members of the Institut are kindly invited to provide comments, suggestions and inputs, written contributions on the elaboration of the new convention prior to any given intersessional consultation, as per paragraph 10 of the “Road map and mode of work for the Ad Hoc Committee”, approved by the Ad Hoc Committee in its first session, and paragraph 3(c) of the “Modalities of the participation of multi-stakeholders in the Ad Hoc Committee”, annexed to the report of the Ad Hoc Committee’s session on organizational matters.

Written contributions, which should focus on the items to be examined by the Ad Hoc Committee at its fourth session, that is, on criminalization, general provisions and provisions on procedural measures and law enforcement, should be sent in Word format to info@institut.uk.

All written contributions on the elaboration of the new convention will be reviewed by the Institute before being submied, to guarantee the quality of our work and after approval, submissions can be uploaded to the website of the UN Ad Hoc Committee to inform the discussion during the process of elaboration of the Convention.
