Dr. Johanudin obtained his doctoral degree from Swinburne University of Technology
Melbourne, prior to that he attained his Masters of Business International Hotel Management at the University of Queensland (2003),
B.Sc. (Hons) Hotel Management UiTM (1999), Diploma in Hotel Management ITM (1997) and Certificate in Hotel and Restaurants ITM (1993).
After graduating from his Doctoral study, Dr. Johan was appointed to handle several positions that include Liaison Officer
for International, PhD Potential Board Member and Head of Strategic Planning for UiTM Penang and UiTM Penang committee for post-graduate study.
Dr. Johan is active in academic undertakings as he is the Academic Advisor to the Hospitality and Tourism Management Students. Currently, he vigorously engaged in publication (Journal Article writing, International
Conference Proceeding, Research and Development, Consultancy, Community Engagements, Government Advisory Board) and a Member to the Malaysian Institute of Management (MMIM). In concurrent with that he was also appointed to be an Examiner to PhD and Post-Graduate students.
Currently, he is supervising student’s ranges from Doctorates to Bachelor’s program.
Dr. Johan is also a regular reviewer to The International Hospitality and Tourism Postgraduate Conference, The International Hospitality and Tourism Conference, Chairman to
the International Hospitality and Tourism Conference 2014 Penang Chapter, Editorial Board Member to Esteem Journal UiTM Penang,
Editorial Board to Journal of Tourism, Hospitality and Culinary Arts (JHTCA), The International Conference on the Future of ASEAN (ICoFA2015) University Technology MARA (UiTM) Perlis, International Conference on Education and Social Science (ICEdSS2016)
and recently appointed as Editorial Board to Journal of Tourism, Hospitality and Environment Management (JTHEM) and reviewer to 6th International Conference on Marketing and Retailing 2017. His experience in industry and academic has qualified him to obtain
the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme and Knowledge Transfer Program (FRGS) and Knowledge Transfer Program (KTP) from The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and appointed as an International Editor to the International Journal of Business Studies from the University of Petra Surabaya Indonesia.
