Professional member-Céline Georges


Céline Georges earned a Master's Degree in Specialized Translation (legal and economic-financial fields, from English and Spanish into French) in 2019 from the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting of the University of Geneva.

She undertook an internship in translation, through Faculty, for the Art-Law Centre of the University of Geneva, in the framework of a research project carried out in partnership with UNESCO ("ArThemis Database"). She translated into French case notes in English about disputes over the return and restitution of cultural property.

She has also been a volunteer translator for the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI). She translated documents and subtitled videos (without specialized software) from English and Spanish into French, for the GANHRI Annual Meeting 2020.

Currently, she is also a volunteer translator for the NGO Survival International. She translates into French texts in English about the fight for indigenous peoples'rights.
